I have a Samsung a740 phone with camera, etc. I would like to add some
music and images to the phone, but my provider charges ridiculous rates
for such downloads. Is there any way I can accomplish this from my own
computer...or even my own website? In which format do the 'true tone'
files (song samples) need to be in order to download and use and how
can I get them into the phone?

I figure there MUST be someway to get data into the phone, other than
through a pay-per-use site.

TIA for any help.

Cheers.

You will need to buy a cable and some software. You can get BitPim for free,
but I don't know what it's full capabilities are. I do know it will upload
wallpaper, ringtones and you can save a copy of your phonebook.
Check eBay for cables. That is where I got the one for my LG PM-225. Works
good enough for my uses.
