WARNING: DO NOT USE NET10 TRAC PHONE, WHY?

1.) They forced you to recharge the phone even if you have many hundred
minutes left in your phone. So for them to claim $0.10 a minute is not
true, you could be paying $0.50 a minute instead. They changed their policy
and claimed that they didn't. Mexican's operated Business, you can hear
their accent on the background.
2.) Their Time increment is by a minute, not by second like SPRINT etc..

Further more, you will lose every minutes you have left on the phone.
This is something new that they implemented lately. I used their phone in
the past, I was happy with it, now they are getting greedy. Their Web is
not reliable, they billed your credit card without giving you the minutes,
so when I called them up, and they told me a different story about their
policy.
Sadly they took my dollars without giving me the minutes, they said they can
give the minutes as long as I agree to let them take advantages of me. I
said No, then they said "Good luck on trying to get your money-back"
Sounded like they know how to cheat people.

You're not going to get much sympathy using an observation like like
that as a criticism.
Just because you hear an accent in the background doesn't mean the
people with that accent operate the business. They could be (and
probably are) employees. In fact, every company of any size has some
employees with Mexican accents.
And what's wrong with Mexicans operating the business anyway? As far
as it goes, newly-arrived Mexicans are more honest than regular
Americans.
[[By the way, and I know this is off the subject of the thread, but
since this thread is crossposted widely, I might as well take
advantage of it. Does anybody know what kind of ringtones work on
cricket phones?]]

When did "The Mexican" take over?
In the past year, or so, I've seen some of their policies
(e.g., return) actually improve.

Of course, your statement is true, but by being so cautious, you've
diluted the import to almost nothing. I'm making a general statement
about the honesty of Mexicans. Your typical Mexican coming from Mexico
is more honest than your typical American. I say this even after being
seriously ripped-off by some Mexicans http://groups.google.com/group/misc...7f5638ccdbec579
.. Some of them are barbaric, particularly in their treatment of
animals.

My partner was born in Mexico, but he has a distinct Canukian accent as was

Just curious... what Canadian church feels the need to save the poor

Congo, but then we figured, like, Tulsa was a lot closer, eh?") ;-)

Carlos Slim Helu, (currently the 3rd richest man on the planet Earth with
an esimated worth of $49 Billion, just a few bucks shy of Bill Gates and
Warren Buffet's $56 and $52 bil, respectively) bought CompUSA in 2000.
(I believe his son is currently in charge of day-to-day operations.)
Helu owns the Mexican telecom giant Telmex, and held a pretty large stake
in MCI until he sold it off a few years ago, IIRC.
Not too shabby for a Mexican, huh? (Sarcasm obviously not pointed at
you, Notan, but at the earlier bigoted comments.)

When you think of how the computer retail business has taken a beating
since the computer has become a commodity available at Walmart and K-Mart-
type stores, the fact that CompUSA still exists with 120+ stores staying
open is pretty incredible- who's their closest computer-only competitor?
Microcenter and their fifteen or so stores?

Well, Slim owned CompUSA and The Good Guys back in late 2004... I
worked at a CompUSA store for a short time back then, and he'd already
bought the company.

Honesty and politeness in a queue are different things. But that's not
a valid criticism either. Mexicans aren't impolite - not in general.
If you got bumped in line by a Mexican, I agree, that's a breach of
etiquette, but you can't indite a whole group over an individual
incident.
Now, regarding taking my views elsewhere. This is a newsgroup,
actually you crossposted to several newsgroups, and *you're* the one
to open the topic of race. So if you wanted the subject to be
discussed elsewhere, you shouldn't have begun it here.

For cutting in line is not classified as Politeness, it is "taking advantage

The full clause was: newly-arrived Mexicans are more honest than
regular
Americans.
I meant to distinguish between those newly-arrived and those that had
been here a while or for their whole lives. The term "American" means
someone who is in America. It's a legitimate distinction. Why do you
object?
I do believe there are racial and cultural differences in the respect
for honesty. However, in terms of Mexican culture verses American
culture, Mexican culture is more honest. Newly-arrived Mexicans have
that culture imbued in them. After they've been here a while, their
culture becomes a mix. Then, a general statement about their honesty
is not so easy.

A regular american is someone who is born in america and so was their
parents, and granparents and so on. If your family desended from
another country then they are not considered a "regular american" they
are a immigrant .
"immigration in the modern sense refers to movement of people from
one nation-state to another. Immigration implies long-term permanent
residence (and often eventual citizenship) by the immigrants:"

The only people who didn't immigrate are the Native Americans.
Also, there is a legal definition of "citizen" in this country. Look
it up. You might be surprised. You can immigrate and become a
naturalized citizen.
I mean, I don't like the whole illegal immigrant situation either, and
something needs to be done about it, but if you're going to discuss
it, it might be a good idea to try NOT being clueless.
