Poor reception and dropped calls: Telus or Motorola v262?
|
|
|
| Hi! I am new to the cell phone world. My wife and I recently signed up for
Telus and got a Motorola v262 each. While everything is fine outdoors, the
reception indoors is horrible. The call goes dead a zillion times when we
are inside a store or building (same problem with both v262 phones). Have
been very disappointed. As I have not had Rogers or MTS (I live in
Winnipeg), I am not sure whether the problem is with Telus or the phone.
Anyone have a good/bad experience with Motorola v262?
I am still within my 30 days exchange period with Future Shop and have to do
it soon. But, not knowing much about any Telus phone, not sure what to
exchange the 262 for. Everyone seems to say good things about Nokia, but
Telus has just one model, which is not available at Future Shop. Any
opinions on the LG 125?
Thanks.

| I had problems with my Mot V551 with Fido, dropped calls by the dozens. I
had to flash upgrade my phones software, and ever since, its been 100%
improvement.
I know its not Telus, but i am just telling yo my experience. Maybe your
phone has an outdated software.
Call Telus.
Good luck

| The Mot V262 is a great phone with outstanding reception. I use it on
Verizon, never drop a call, and get reception where LG's do not.

| It's probably your service provider : Telus. V262 is known to great
reception. My friend has the phone US Cellular service and he gets great
reception.
