| I have a NEW GSM account with Cingular. I am getting phones where I
believe they will have SIM cards. Can I just take the SIM card out of
the phone & use it on a BlackBerry. I know I may have to get it
UNLOCKED which isnt a problem as I will gladly pay for this. I am kind
of a NOVICE when it comes to this stuff. I am a MCSE/CISCO engineer so
I am kind of Techie, but real Novice in this stuff. All assistance
will be appreciated.

| You can use the Blackberry AS IS by just moving the SIM card. However,
without the data plan (about 50 bucks a month) you will not be able to use
the browser, or the email features. The telephone will continue to
function, as will the PIM features (Calendar, Tasks, Memo Pad etc., etc.,
etc) and the BB will sync to your Outlook without a lot of difficulty. This
does, however, require a Windiws based PC, since I have not seen a Linux
version of the software.
