Virgin Oystr - Ringtone How-to??

Just got a Virgin Oystr cheapy cell phone. I'm new to this stuff.

Several questions.

1) Does it use standard MP3 for ringtones? It says it uses
superphonic and from what I can gather from their web site that is MP3?

2) If not what is the format? I can locate a converter if necessary
I guess.

3) Can I download an MP3 (or other format) using the phone's browser
from *any* web site and have that recognized as a ring tone? I am
thinking of uploading a couple of custom items to my own web site then
try to download it to the phone.

4) If not, what is the how-to to get the tone on the phone?
