Newboie with an unlocking software problem for LG phone

New here so if I don't give the correct technical info let me know what else
I need to tell you.
I am hoping you could advise me, I have the unlocking software and the
unlocking cable for unlocking the LGU8120 but am having problems making it
work. I am not sure if I need the original 3 sim card in or not. Or do I
need my new orange sim card in or not. I chose the right com port and the
right phone type but when it asks me to power on it only gets to 96% done of
the unlocking and then says unlocking timeout waiting commands.
Does anyone have any sugestions or solutions. I have contacted my unlocking
supplier but so far no response.
All thoughts are welcome
