accessing MP3 files on Moto e815 ...
|
|
|
| I just got a Trans-Flash 512mB card for my Moto e815. I formatted the card
(after first trying to use it without formatting it in the phone ... duh )
.... and put on a dozen MP3's using my PC's card reader and the Trans-Flash
Card's "SD adapter".
I can play the songs on the Trans-Flash card through my card reader ... so I
know they are there, in the "Sounds" folder ... However when I put the
Trans-Flash card back in the phone, and "switch storage device" to the
T-Flash ... it says "empty" ... huh ?
Help !!

Check file names. The driver on the phone can only handle names no
longer than 37 characters (including the .mp3 at the end), and the name
cannot must consist of only alphanumeric characters and underscore. Some
other special characters may also be OK, but don't be surprised if the
phone chokes on them. Specifically, no apostrophes (single quote) or
periods are allowed, other than the ".mp3" at the end.

Yes, thanks, that seems to have been the problem :-)
