Is there such a thing as a cell phone that will work on both GSM and
CDMA networks?

If there is please let me know which models.

And the Samsung A790, but the A790 runs only on European GSM frequencies. In
the US it will run on US CDMA frequencies.

Yes, though it only works on European and Asian GSM networks as well
as regular CDMA (IS-95) networks. Samsung A790 is one.

Is that the best you can do for an intelligent contribution to this group?
Then you better reconsider before posting again. It was a correct answer
he/she gave.

So I take it there are no phones that will work on all four GSM
frequencies 850/900/1800/1900 plus the CDMA frequencies 800/1800.

Yes. If you want everything including UMTS you'll have to carry at
least two phones with you. And BTW, there is no CDMA at *1800* or at
least not in North America.

No, you won't be able to drag me down to your level. I've read too many of
your "discussions"
" my dad is stronger than your dad"... "I'm always right and you're always
wrong"... "I want the last word"...

No, thanks!!!
