| Why won't SIM work in the US? Many European cellular equipments are operating in the US in cellular system, however they don't put SIM to work in the US. What is the real problem?

T-Mobile and Cingular customers in the USA use SIM cards in their GSM
phones.

I'm not sure what you're asking. A SIM will work anywhere in the
world provided the phone being used is for the correct frequency and
the card is meant to work in that area. Not all accounts (such as
prepaid/pay as you go) will work outside of the country they are
normally used. Most all US prepaids will not work outside of the US
though there are a few exceptions.

T-Mobile uses Sim Cards. Sim cards will work in most phones so long as your
phones unlocked and triband or quad band.

No "real" problem. My sim (Telstra Australia) works fine in USA. Maybe a
problem with your phone, plan, or service provider.

Cingular and a few smaller US GSM providers use SIMs.

Of course not - I was just pointing out that there are other US carriers
besides T-Mobile that use SIMs in the USA.
