I am trying to find a way to text a friend of mine in another country,
but i wish to do it via txt, i have their mobile number but how do i
find out the codes i need (area code) so that i can sent the txt is it
same as a landline number or is it different for mobiles?

You really need to be more specific. Just tell us the country and most of
the number. You can change the last 4 digits to XXXX. I guess we can assume
that you are in UK and you are using some UK carrier?

Unless you know their mobile number including country code and area
code I don't know how you'd text them e.g. calling someone in the
Netherlands who has a mobile number of 06-2948XXXX would be
+3162948XXXX. Unless you have their mobile number plus country and
area code I don't know how you could call them.
