Dear All,
I'm visitin California for quite a period this summer.
I need to know whether its worth me spending $30 to buy a Samsung
850mhz/1900mhz handset from Cingular (pay as you go), or just take
along my Sony Ericsson phone that operates 800mhz, 900mhz and 1900mhz
GSM?
I'm refering to coverage. Will my 1900mhz phone provide sufficient
coverage, or should I invest in the other handset instead?
Many thanks,
IZoneIZ

It all depends on where you go and what mobile operator you use. If
you stay mainly in the cities or on the roads connecting major cities
you'll do OK with T-Mobile's coverage. If however you find that
you're going to spend a lot of time in more remote areas cingular
might be a better fit for you. Keep in mind that with cingular.
prepaid "pay as you go" anyone who leaves a voicemail deposit will
debit any amount of credit you have. Such is not the case with
T-Mobile.
Did you really mean that your Sony-Ericsson phone uses 800/900 and
1900 Mhz? Are you sure you didn't mean 900/1800/1900?
