Possible video surveilw/cell?

| Sorry for my lack of knowledge in this subject. Does there exist a cell
phone or
other equipment that can be used to covertly record person to person
transactions with video/sound signal to a remote computer/recorder,
range of 20km or less? Equipment must be easily concealed on person and
not easily identified. If anyone can give me the details as to what
equipment I would need for this or a reasonable supplier, that would be
great. Thanks.

| Several devices do exist, however the range of 20km is a bit of a
stretch. A company that I am affiliated with is in the process of
working on such a device, however it will primarily be used for
government purposes and will be very, very pricey for the general
public to purchase. Additionally, like most "techy" gadgets, the
version the public will be able to purchase will not have all the bells
and whistles that the governement version has.
Which would you rather own, a house or one of these devices?
Spend your money wisely and have a place to hang your hat at night.

| I know enough about electronics to know that the components for such
a device would not cost anywheres near the price of a house. In fact
some students at MIT had a club and were using home made devices that
they put together themselves. You need a small camera (not that
expensive), a good small transmitter, also not that expensive. With
the cellular technology that is already sending pics over the net,
this should not be such a big deal. Although I agree 20 km is much
harder.
