| Is moving a SIM card form one GSM phone to another just
as easy as popping it out of the phone and popping it
in to the other one?
Say you buy a used GSM phone off eBay.....dopes the
above work or do I need "intervention" form the GSM
carrier as well?
Talking abt unlocked GSM phones here
have never owned GSM before so dumb abt it Sorry

Yes, it's that simple.

If you use WAP/internet or multimedia messaging services on the originla
phone, you will have to configure the new phone with settings appropriate
to the carrier. These do not travel with the SIM card but reside in the
phone. Many carriers can send you those settings over the air, prompted
either by a click from their web site or a call to customer service.
Otherwise no specific intervention or notice is needed.

It's that simple, as long as the second GSM phone is either unlocked, or
locked to the network of the company that provides the SIM card.
