From what I've read it seems that unlocking my phone is not possible. I was
wondering if it is possible to hack my sim card or possibly convince my
local AT&T store to register my former DoCoMo card on their network. The
card is no longer activated. I can view networks on the phone and it lists
the AT&T network and TMobile here in the USA. Is sim hacking a possiblilty?

Hacking, yeah, legality, not sure.

You may need to send the phone to one of those places local and found online
that do one of those hard unlocks, abit more expensive but if its a high end
phone and you wish to use it on AT&T it maybe your only option.
