Hi. My first post and as usual it's a cry for help!
I have just been down the toy shop and bought a Motorola v547, mobile
phone tools (v3.0), pc820 bluetooth pc adaptor and HF800 portable
wireless speaker. The phone also came with a free HS820 headset.
The phone is great. Well pleased. but I have two problems I can't
resolve...
1. In bluetooth mode, connection between the phone and the headset or
speaker is partially lost after about 5 seconds accompanied by a
audible 'beep'. It's the same with either device...I can hear the
caller but they can't hear me. Reception is also poor - there's a fair
amount of crackling and distortion. I'm not sure whether I'm over
expecting but I guess I was influenced by the hype that promised
"crystal clear reception". Incidentally, the reception on the phone
itself is excellent.
2. I have configured to the instructions the Motorola mobile phone
tools software into the pc. The pc recognizes that it is bluetooth
enabled and the dongle lights its led when in the usb port. When I run
the mobile phone tools software to pair with the phone I'm asked from a
drop down list to select the phone I'm trying to pair with - and the
v547 isn't there! I'm not sure whether that means the pc won't be able
to connect or whether when connected I won't get a picture of a v547 on
the pc. Either way, if I choose (say) v550 or v500 as a substitute the
pc goes off into pairing mode and I put the phone into pairing mode,
but nothing happens. The connection is never made.

Anyone got any ideas please?
