Hi,

I have just installed a Belkin F8T008uk Bluetooth USB adaptor to my Win
xp PC.

I followed the installation instructions including the updating of the
driver for sp2 but cannot get the thing to communicate.

Everytime I search for devices an error "Your Bluetooth device cannot
start the search for devices" is displayed.

My Bluetooth phone can find the PC but after I have entered the
passcode for the phone and also in the popup box on the PC the pairing
fails.

Can anyone advise.

Thanks very much.
A complete Bluetooth novice.
Phil.

Hi,

Unfortunately I have the same problem with my Belkin Bluetooth USB
adaptor/ HP Pavillion PC. I also get the message:"Your Bluetooth device
cannot start the search for devices".

I have tried with various BIOS down/upgrades, I have tried to install
W2000 plus a lot of other things. My Pavillion does not have SP2.

I can initiate the connection from my PDA, but I cannot read available
services on the PDA from the PC.

I have installed the same Bluetooth adaptor on 3 other computers
without problems. 2 computers had SP2 installed. 1 computer had W2000.

I also need help !!!
Best regards - Carl Otto

Hi Carl,

After contacing Belkin tech support by phone and email, they suggested
that the adaptor may be faulty.
I sent the adaptor back to Belkin who then sent me a replacement.
The replacement they sent me works just fine.

Best regards.

Phil.
