noname Bluetooth USB dongle and driver: BTW 1.4.3.4

| My usb dongle is a noname, "made in taiwan" with ID "BTU01B".
Im running Win Xp Pro SP2
When done with setup.exe I reboot and get the following pop up message
when trying to open "Bluetooth-Configuration" in ControlPanel:
"Could not find Bluetooth-device.
Check that your Bluetooth-device is plugged in and turned on"
Im fairly sure this is done.
I then try to manually start the BTStackServer.exe file located in
C:\Program Files\Widcomm\Blueto
oth-Software\ only to get another
pop-up message saying
"Licende invalid, shutting down stack server".
What to do?

| Hi,
I have the same dongle as your's (BTU01B).
It works fine the Bluetooth Stack BlueSoleil from IVT. I didn't try the
BTW driver.
You can get the last version from MSI web site:
http://www.msi.com.tw/program/suppo...?UID=361&kind=8
or an older one on the IVT site:
http://www.ivtcorporation.com/produ...esuit/index.php
hope it helps

| Thanks for the tip
when I innstalled it, it said my device wasnt msi and that I only had
5MB transfer limit.
Did you bypass this or are u using it with limitations?

Strange,
My dongle (BTU01B) works fine with the BlueSoleil I get on the MSI site.
No limitation appear.
Try the version from the BlueSoleil web Site.
I will send you more information by e-mail.
