I have had this headset for about 3 months and its dead..well at least
in a coma. I want to check and see if the battery is dead but I can't
find the damn thing.:) Well..actually I can't find the spot to open it.
I went to there site but had no luck. It appears to be on the front top
but I am not going to start breaking things. I realize they will
replace it but I first I want to put my wife's battery in it to see if
that is the issue. TIA

You will need to pull off the dark blue plastic piece that surrounds
the silver button. It is attached with 2 way tape. You will then need
a torx screw driver to remove the screw to open the unit. I believe
it's a #6 but it's been a while since I opened one.

Is it made to be opened by the user? It sure doesn't sound like it. I
might just return it for a replacement because its only a couple of
months old.

Why bother?? If it's only 3 months old, get it replaced under warranty and
be done with it!

The battery should last a lot more than 3 months though!

No it's not meant to be opened by the end user. But if you want to
tinker around with it you can. Once you remove the dark blue part it's
fairly easy to open. But I would suggest that you do as posted above
return under the warranty exchange and be done with it.
