I just purchased a HP Provilian dv9000z (AMD) notebook to use with
Motorola Phone Tools to connect to my RAZR v3i. When I attempt to
connect by starting the motorola Phone Tools I get an error message
stating that the "Communications port is not available". I have
completed the Bluetooth connection to the RAZR twice or three times,
the connection is always successful when using a data cable. The
Bluetooth connection fails with this error message more times than it
completes. Can any one tell me how to resolve this error message??

Have you subscribed to the moto phone tools forum page ? Google BVRP
software. Please subscribe and choose a screename as it gets all to
confusing with the number of people signed on as guest. I am assuming
your using the comps built in BT connection. I also use the BT with a
V330 and MPT. I do recall reading on a number of occaisions the
trouble with certain BT connections and an incompatability issue, mine
was not one of them. It is fixable so get to the site and fix it.
Breifly thou I suspect its with the modem drivers, go into your control
panel and check your modem.
