Lets you hook up your landline fone and cell phone via bluetooth so from any wireless handset (allows 10 of them) you can make a landline or a cell phone call ...now there's an idea!! Anyone tried it ??

Yep, got one with a variety of the uniden handsets. Works "OK". In that
you do need the cell phone to stay within about a dozen feet of the base
station, in the same room works best. You cannot roam around the house with
the cell phone. Sometimes pairing back up doesn't happen automagically.
This seesm to be more of an issue with the cell phone than the base station.
Lastly there's a slight delay when dialing out over the cell phone. Not
much but enough to be noticeable when waiting for an outbound call to start
making handset noises. It's about 3 seconds as the cordless phone asks the
base station to connect to the cell phone and THEN dial out via the cell
line. But otherwise it works pretty well. I switched to using voip through
speakeasy.net so I've got less reason to use cell minutes than before
(speakeasy's free long distance nationwide). So I'm actually not using the
cell phone linking all that much lately.

So yes, it does work as advertised.
