What is OBEX & how can I tell if my WinXP computer has bluetooth?
Is this OBEX Bluetooth method BETTER than the USB cable method I use today
to transfer files back and forth between the Motorola RAZR V3 and my
Windows XP computer?
Do I use the same software (Motorola Phone Tools)?

| I'm close to figuring out how to CREATE ringtones.
My main problem now is I haven't figured out how to set it to "mono".
Here is what I have so far for creating a ringtone from an MP3.
1. Start Audacity 1.2.6 freeware
2. Project > Import Audio (browse to select the desired MP3 file)
3. Hit the PLAY button & LMB to the desired ringtone start point
Note: The STOP button will reset to that selected point
4. Hold & sweep your LMB to where you want the ringtone to end
Note: View > Zoom In as needed.
5. Hit STOP & PLAY repeatedly as you adjust the swept-out ringtone area
Select a ringtone length of about 21 to 25 seconds maximum.
6. Press Edit > Cut to delete all but the swept-selection area
7. Find the arrowed pulldown near the "X" and select "Split Stereo Track"
Note: This is hard to find so don't use any of the pulldown menus!
8. Hit the "X" for one of the now-split tracks to delete that one track
9. Select the one track (ctrl+A) and press Project > Quick Mix
Note: That will create an empty second track.
10. Sweep-select the last two seconds and hit Effect > Fade Out
11. Ctrl+A, choose Effect > High Pass Filter > 150 Hz
12. Set the "Project rate:" at the bottom left to 22050 Hz (22.05 kHz)
13. Edit > Preferences > File Formats > Bit Rate: 32 kbps
Note: I'm not sure where to set this to "mono"
14. File > Export selection as MP3
Then, use the previously noted instructions to download the new ringtone to
your Motorola RAZR V3 cellphone.
