I purchased the Voyager 510 complete with the charger cradle, etc to be
used with my multi-line office phone and, lo and behold, I found that
the 510 works with BOTH the office phone and the Treo 650. It sometimes
does get confused when I'm on the office phone and the Treo on my belt
rings but...

Who cares? I hit silence on the Treo, go about my business and deal
with the Treo call later.

It's wonderful! The 510 works just fine with the Treo and the dual
usage has saved me from having to carry the Jabra BT I originally bought
for the Treo.

Sound quality and range are both excellent with the 510/Treo pairing.
Battery life is fine with the 510. When I first got it, I didn't
realize that it was on the entire time it was out of the cradle unless I
hit the button. Even then I managed about 9 hours of talk time on a
full charge.

No reason to pass on the 510. It will provide typically great
Plantronics performance for you.

Just be aware that the Treo650 has some quirks that will affect all
headsets. The Treo650 does not work like all other Bluetooth phones, so
there can be anything upto a 5s delay between the time when the phone
starts ringing and the headset starts ringing. So, if you are using a
bluetooth headset with the 650, just be aware it may take a few seconds
for the headset to start ringing too. When you hear the headset is
ringing, then you can hit the button to answer the call.
