| I purchased a Motorola H300 BT headset last Sept while on a trip. I
liked the ability to use AAA batteries (I have lots of NiMH cells
handy) and the sound quality was OK. So after four+ months of
ownership, it started failing on me. I couldn't get the button to
work
consistently. What it seemed to be doing was activating for just a
split second, and wouldn't activate the internal switch long enough
to turn on. When I could get it on, I couldn't consistently turn it
off or press the button to answer a call. When it was on, I could
talk as long as I used my phone for controls. The volume control
buttons worked as long as it was on. I had lost my receipt, so I
gave up on trying to send it in for warranty repair/replacement.
I liked it enough even though one failed on me, so I bought another
one on sale at RadioShack last week for $30. It was doing great,
and all of a sudden it shows the same problems today (less than
two weeks).
I just contacted Motorola's customer service tomorrow and I got
a return authorization to get replaced. I really like the H300
because there really is little else like it and it worked well with
my Razr.
Has anyone experienced a Motorola headset that died quickly?
Is the main button malfunctioning a problem that anyone else has
seen?
