my samsung wep sucks - help!

Hi I have an LG 5300 phone on verizon's service. I had a cheap $40
verizon blue tooth headset that was very good quality but it was not
comfortable in my ear. So I bought the Samsung Wep earpiece. I bought
it on ebay from some guy in China for $23.

Here is my experience with it so far....

1. In the charger the red charging light does not stay on. I don't
know if this is normal but I giggle it around and the light comes on
then goes off in a few seconds.

2. Lots of static if I walk more than 4' from the phone.

3. When I turn it on the phone doesn't pick it up. I have to keep
pushing the button on the earpiece.

I'm not really happy with this any advice........
