They refuse to even try to activate the phone, as it is non-GPS. Claim
this is true for all carriers due to FCC regs re: e911.

I suspect they could do it if they really wanted to, but are trying to
force me to re-up with a new contract to get new phones, which I don't
want to do at the moment.
