Since the Group is unmoderated, there is no method of enforcing any of
the above, some of which are regularly violated by the OP.

Unenforceable charter posting laughed at.

Why are some folks so rude to Navas? How does he violate the terms of
service that he has posted below? Other than being a Cingular bigot, what is
the problem with John Navas? He seems to be helpful to folks that post here
in search of advice regarding Cingular.

What does his "CHARTER" have to do with alt.cellular.attws? Funny ... John
posted it there. Remember, when you answer that question, that the CHARTER is
a newsgroup charter.

He often posts off-topic posts in this and other newsgroups, but what
many people object to is his endless reposting of the charter, including
posting it to other groups to which the charter has no relevance
(alt.cellular.attws). It's as if he's terrified that when (and if) the
Cingular name is dropped, that Usenet readers and posters will migrate
to the old alt.cellular.attws, a group that doesn't have a charter
written by him. So he's desperately trying to extend the
alt.cellular.cingular charter onto alt.cellular.attws (at least that's
the only explanation anyone's come up with for why he's posting a
charter into a group that it doesn't apply to).

If he would stick to simply helping people when they have a technical
question about something like setting up data services, then there
wouldn't be any objections at all.

Now it is clear to me. Thanks for the detailed explanation. :-)

No one is being rude to Navas, we're just being rude to:

Self-styled experts (Googleites) that provide erroneous or misleading
information and then back pedal to mitigate their guffaw.

"Moderators" that insult the intelligence of people with more
professional experience by the use of an illogical reasoning model, but
use the same model to support their own fantasies.

People that run away from an argument once they realize they are way
over their head.
