| Charter of alt.cellular.attws
This group is for those who currently receive wireless service from
AT&T, and for those who wish to discuss issues regarding wireless
service from AT&T.
The group will allow for free discussion of issues, equipment, quality
of service problems, pricing plans, etc related to wireless services
from AT&T. This group will allow for AT&T's wireless users to help one
another with technical, service, equipment, and other issues.
This group is unmoderated. However it requested that the following
types of posts not be posted to the group:
-Copyrighted news stories, other than a brief description of the story
and a URL link.
-Equipment sales and auctions
-Personal attacks, including insults and flames
-Unsubstantiated claims regarding service issues and coverage
-Charters from other newsgroups
-Posts containing obscenities
-Spam
-Posts not related to wireless service from AT&T

| Given that they're calling it Mobility from AT&T, you might as well give
up on the "wireless" moniker.

| This "charter" is of course entirely bogus. The group was actually
created for AT&T Wireless Service, which disappeared into Cingular.

Are you talking about
"http://att.com/wireless"
or
"http://www.wireless.att.com"?
"http://att.com/mobility" doesn't work, and "http://mobility.att.com"
goes to a non AT&T site?
While that charter doesn't really apply to alt.cellular.attws any more
than the old alt.cellular.cingular charter applies, the more appropriate
Usenet group for discussions of the wireless service offered by AT&T
(whatever they may be calling it) is now alt.cellular.attws.
An unofficial charter is probably a good idea. Maybe some people will
decide to abide by it. Navas is going to spam no matter what any charter
says, he doesn't even abide by the charter he wrote for
alt.cellular.cingular.

Nope.

It's actually meaningless. Only the original charter is valid.

That would be you, not me, although you're a troll, not really a
spammer. Suggest you find out what spam really is.

The above charter isn't on ftp.isc.org, in fact there is no charter
listed for this group.

This is correct, there is no charter for alt.cellular.attws. I went back
to the beginning of the group using deja.com and could not find a charter.
I don't think a charter is really necessary, and certainly the charter
from a different group doesn't apply to this group. There is no way to
add a charter for a group that's been around for many years without one.
It's really time to stop the postings to alt.cellular.cingular, and move
everything over to alt.cellular.attws.

That doesn't mean it doesn't exist, only that you couldn't find it.
Hint: There are other places you should have looked.

A charter is always necessary.

Correct.

Correct.

This newsgroup applies to a company and name that no longer exist.
You're just trying to disrupt alt.cellular.cingular
Give it a rest.
