I'm in the Los Angeles area and for the past several hours I've been
receiving calls from that say they are from one number but when I answer
it's someone from a different number.

I can sometimes connect to the correct Cingular number that I dial and
sometimes end up with some other number.

People try to call me but end up with someone elses voicemail or a rapid
busy signal.

Cingular customer service told me it's a known wide issue. I spoke with
someone in Sacramento and they lost signal for about 6 minutes.
