| My son has habit of breaking phones and recently a friend of his gave him an
LG C1500 Cingular Orange locked phone, called cingular to see if the phone
could be unlocked for use on Cingular Blue (former AT&T) and was first told
we will email you within 48 hours with a response (that was Friday Jan 13,
2006) and I still have not received an email so I called back and was told
that it is not possible. Called LG and was told that is a provider function.
I believe it is possible through Cingular, do I just need to get the right
customer service rep or what?
thanks for the info in advance
-Mike

I did get an unlock code from Cingular for my Motorola V551.
But that was _my_ phone, and it was locked to the service that I was on.
Unlocking a phone that doesn't belong to you would be a different thing.

Just go to a local phone dealer. Someone should have it.

Yeah well I'm rather attached to the wife, if she just wasn't so damn sexy,
I might be able to consider it.
