Cingular cell phone service - Treo 650 Set-up with Edge?

I have a Treo 650 and want to configure it to work with Edge. I have
MediaNet unlimited package. The present config. out of the box from Cingular
works, but it seems like GPRS speeds. I live on Long Island so Edge is
available here. Any ideas?

Any properly working EDGE-capable handset will automatically use EGPRS (EDGE)
in preference to GPRS when EGPRS is available.
