|
|
| Squawk 2006-10-10, 3:33 pm |
| Looks like my ability to send sms to email has suddenly ceased.
Anybody else having this problem? Anybody know if there's a resolution
on the way?
btw, I'm in the Wichita, Ks area.

Wow, surprising no one has responded to this by now. If you still need
an answer--it's working fine in DFW as of 11pm. At least using the
"send to 111" method which is all my Jam pdaphone can do. Also email
sent from pc to nnnnnnnnnn@cingularm
e.com was received as SMS and
returned correctly to the original email address. Looks normal here.

i'm in the sf bay area, ca, and i've been having more and more problems
sending mms/sms messages to email addresses. as of yesterday or today,
it is not working at all; usually when a message is in the process of
being sent, i see a spinning paperclip (and then the message usually
fails anyway). now, however, i go through the process of setting the
message up to be sent and it gives me no feedback at all until the
failure message.
the quality of cingular's service has been declining rapidly in the
last few months.
i'm wondering if this is related to their desire to have me upgrade my
sim chip; i've refused so far.

Works fine for me, although I sometimes see more delay than normal.
Just ran some tests, and all messages came through within a minute or
so. Perhaps you have an email service problem.

I personally haven't seen any such issue.

Almost certainly not.
