Author family plan question
Acerola

Currently, I'm a Verizon customer. My sister and mother are on the
family plan. If I were to add my line to their Cingular family plan,
could I get a separate bill for my line? (for privacy).

I think the entire point of a Family Plan is combined billing.

No, you would be on their plan and are all billed as one account. Your choice
is to get your own plan or to go prepaid.

1) In order to port a number between carriers the name has to be the
same on both accounts, meaning you would first have to put your Verizon
account under the name of the person holding the Cingular account,
assuming that the Verizon account is not already in the said persons
name.

2) You would not be billed seperately, your line would appear as a
third line on the Cingular account.

You could not get a separate bill however your portion of it is itemized so
you could pay your share & if you wanted to keep your Verizon number you
would have to port it to your own account and then merge it with your
sister/mother's account from there.
