Author dishonesty is it cinulars policy

I started last August with a ndkia on cingular. I liked it at first.
Within . I had rollover and no roam etc...I thought.
The very first time I went out of my territory...hmmm..sim card
rejected. .I also had it happen at the airport where I was desperately
needing it. I had to find someone with a cingular just so I could call
in.
I got this story that I had put in a code when I got it and they too
it out so that when I turned it off and on.....I wouldnt have to put
the code in...Well I had never put a cod in or even heard of it.
So it wored awhile.but strangley when I had trouble it was usually in
an area that might be a roam if I had had my old us ce.. phone .
So it kept progressing and then when I would call they said that i
need to clean my sim card.
Then another time they just had me turn it off and on.
In other words I got a different answer and finally after several
other calls. a lady made a note and said I could go in and they would
give me a free sim card.

to be continued

So after five months I in ..They said they couldnt give me a free sim
card...which is exactly what i expected. I smarted off about it and one
of the workers started laughing at me...and then I tp;d her she didnt
know much about business..You dont laugh at your customers...and then I
said dont laugh at me...I was quite mad as I had been told that I would
get this and didnt..so I knew i either had to pay to cncel or get
screwed to stay.
So then they gave me the sim card and the company is supposed to
credit me....They were really just plain abusive.
Of course then the phone still didnt work even with the new sim
card....
Oh there was a red dot inside which they said meant that the phone had
gotten wet.
So I needed a phone of course...and I verbalized very clearly that I
thought they were racketeers without using the word racketeers. Well of
course Ineeded insurance...the only reason I got it is that I was now
positive that I would continue to have trouble with cingular cell...
i kept the old phone and later this evening I was looking at it..The
useless phone now has a new sim card in it...but it still says sim card
rejected...okay. but there is a little round hole where the battery
was. They appear to be some of the biggest shysters around I wonder if
this sounds familiar to anyone.
The rude one also told me that if I complained that she was rude the
company wouldnt care as they had top sales. I have a feeling that no one
goes around twice.
I felt like I had been hit on the head and robbed on the street.
I also went with a friend about six months before that who was
renewing and she got a free phone for only 60 dollars.
I am definitely not renewing and may actualy quit early and pay their
penalty or dont pay them period...
I have the impression that this is their normal way of doing
business....

It seems that you had a rejected SIM issue. Cingular finally agreed to
replace your SIM card.

FIVE MONTHS later you go into ask for the free replacement SIM. They
made you pay for it ("they gave me the sim card and the company is
supposed to credit me").

The phone still doesn't work because it got wet inside and so you need a
new phone.

Lets make this your starting point.

He was right. They don't care.

Neither should you. Pay the early termination fee and go elsewhere.

That's what I did, and life goes on. Screw Cingular.
