Does anyone here know when or if
the Motorola Q will be offered by Cingular?

"Motorola changes mind on Q ship date"
_change/
>

When will Motorola ship its Q smart phone? Last week, the company's
website added a page promoting the slimline would-be Blackberry
beater. It said the 1.2cm-thick, keyboard-equipped handset will be
"available April 2006". Now Moto has changed the page to read
"shipping soon". Is it simply being cautious or is it signalling a
serious delay?

Conspiracy theorists might like to note the date on the screen of the
Q shown on the website is 25 June 2006 - could that be the date on
which we'll finally see the Razr-like smart phone go on sale?

More importantly, is when will they make one with PalmOS instead of
Windoze Immobile?

Never. PalmOS is pretty much dead as you well know. Mourn
if you must but once again MS has crushed a decent piece of
software.

For a dead thing, Palm Inc is certainly selling a lot of devices. Sales
are UP this quarter compared to last year - before the Treo 700 was
released.

And Palm Inc is moving to WM5. I doubt PalmSource
has all that much life left in them. I like Palm OS and I'm
sorry it's going away. They were WAY ahead of MS
not all that long ago, so it's a shame.

Symbian is still going strong. Methinks the real problem is Palm, not
Microsoft.

Source?

The Treo 700w is only the newest Treo, and all that means is that Palm
is now selling both sides. There's supposed to be a 700p (PalmOS) and
an "entry level" Treo coming out this year.
