Author Sending pictures/messages from phone to regular email?

I can send text-only messages to my regular email without trouble, but
as soon as I try to send something with a picture (multimedia message)
inserted or attachment, it never comes through.
Phone: Motorola V180 (blech)
Service: Cingular Business

So, how does one send/forward a multimedia message and have it actually
go through?
Can you access your messages from a web browser?

You need to send it as a Multimedia Message, or as an Email attachment, not as
a Text Message.

With Cingular GSM, it's sent to the phone.
