Does the V3x work in S Florida?

| I'm contemplating purchasing an unlocked V3x but am hesitating because the
description indicates that it does not operate on 850 mhz which Cingular
apparently uses in some areas. Any idea if S Florida is one of these areas?
Thanks in advance!

S. Florida is 850 Mhz. Both AT&T and Cingular operated 850 MHz networks.
I don't think there is any 1900 MHz spectrum for Cingular in South
Florida, though you may be able to roam onto T-Mobile.
It's a bad decision to buy a GSM phone that doesn't support both 850Mhz
and 1900 Mhz.
Some descriptions of the V3X say 850 MHz/1800 MHz/1900 MHz, which would
be fine for the U.S., but would be a bad idea for Europe and Asia. Some
descriptions say 900 MHz/1800 MHz/1900 MHz which would be fine for
Europe and Asia, but a bad idea for North America. There may be two
versions of this phone.
