Really? Hmm......
"
June 22, 2006: 7:06 PM EDT
NEW YORK (CNN) - Phone service provider AT&T announced Thursday a privacy
policy overhaul that removes a key reference from its previous policy, which
had said the company "does not access, read, upload or store data contained
in or derived from private files without the members' authorization..."
So they announced it on Thursday, June 22nd..............wait........that is
the same day as the OP. How much sooner would he have had to post it for it
not to be old news?
"Thursday's revision comes after the Electronic Frontier Foundation filed a
lawsuit in January..."
So they made the revision on Thirsday, June 22nd as well- looks like you
might have your Teletubbies calendar turned to the wrong month again,
Novice. It's a little strange- you usually don't need help with the
four-letter months.

Please do go away.

| ok, all bickering aside about "the date" (ahem, Mr. Navas) what do you guys
have to say about this latest news?
Lets keep this OT and be nice to each other k? I have already gotten quite a
few intellectual and relevant responses on the grc forums, I expected
nothing less here from you good ppl. Especially since all the past news in
relevance to SBC, ATT and Cingular users data, this is a new twist to an old
story. What say ye?

It really doesn't say anything new, per se...rather its a more in your
face statement to cover XXX. It simply reafirms they will comply with a
court order (the old news) and that they are buying into the warrantless
(non-court ordered) demands of the NSA 9the new news)

Thank you John for taking the time to respond with this informative retort.
What would we do without your bits of wisdom added to *every* posting?
