I suppose Cingular could play the negligence card. Just about all states
use the same Vernon's Annotated Statutes in their law, or similar to it.
Negligence basically is: Did you do or not do what someone else did or
would do or not do in same or similar circumstances.

It isn't true that the other carriers did the same thing, at least not
to the extent that Cingular did. You had to actually be in California at
the time, and have Cingular, to understand how bad the service actually was.
