My Razr V3 is about a year old. Apparently it has CLDC 1.0. To get GPS
lat/longs displayed on my Razr, I need CLDC 1.1.

Has anyone ever upgraded?

Does anyone have CLDC 1.1 on the V3? Motorola advertises it as a 1.1 phone,
but it's really a 1.0 phone. As far as I know, it also does not have a GPS chipset.
Have you heard otherwise?

Motorola apparently is working on a software update service. I'd pay money
to be able to upgrade the microcode.

For the present, I think Cingular uses tower tri-angulations.

I just bought a Bluetooth SiRFIII GPS that is about the size of the Razr
battery cover, accurate down to one meter depending on satellites in view.
With a Velcro dot, I stick it to the dashboard cover or console, where it
views the sky via glass moon roof. Average accuracy on my PDA, sitting
still, is about 15 feet from my dashboard or passenger seat.

Yeah, I have an HP 6515 PPC with a built in GPS, handy stuff, it just
wasn't clear to me how you planned on getting long/lat with a RAZR.
I wish the 6515 was SiRF III, but it does OK.
