MORE V3 as modem from laptop

| I have a winXP laptop and a moto usb cable to my cingular v3 ...I have an unlimited data plan ...I tried to use MPT to create a GPRS connection and to get online ...no dice ...what to do? Thanks for prior response!!

Which data plan do you have?
The profiles that MPT creates are for the fully featured "Laptop Connect"
packages, and don't work for the minimalist WAP "MEdiaNet" account.
The only difference is in the login settings.
Go back to http://www.cingular.com/customer_service/phones_devices phone &
device support Follow the configuration for browsing the internet from your
phone (I presume accessing the web in your phone browser works), and make
the PC dialer information use the same login.

| Install "Motorola Phone Tools", attach your V3 to the USB cable and tell MPT
to make an internet connection.

MPT actually does work fine with MEdia Net -- I just did it to be sure.
