Which data plan do you have?

The profiles that MPT creates are for the fully featured "Laptop Connect"
packages, and don't work for the minimalist WAP "MEdiaNet" account.

The only difference is in the login settings.

Go back to http://www.cingular.com/customer_service/phones_devices phone &
device support Follow the configuration for browsing the internet from your
phone (I presume accessing the web in your phone browser works), and make
the PC dialer information use the same login.

It works fine with the basic Medianet plan.

MPT does not work fine with the basic MEdiaNet plan.
The logins are wrong.

Install "Motorola Phone Tools", attach your V3 to the USB cable and tell MPT
to make an internet connection.

did that for GPRS but properties of "Internet Connection GPRS" do not allow it to connect ...need some guidance about the settings and such.

MPT actually does work fine with MEdia Net -- I just did it to be sure.

Is the phone itself able to browse the Internet with GPRS?
