| Why anyone would even THINK of going with Cingular and their SLOW 140K data
rate is beyond me.
Verizon's EVDO does 140K UP with over 800K down and more at times.....
Anyone who buys a laptop with Cingular embedded is plain crazy.

| I usually get at least 230k when teathered to my phone. I dont know where
you are but you may not have the EDGE network available.

Well ... folks that travel outside of the USA where GSM is the only game in
town come to mind.
Also: Cingular has been deploying 3G HSDPA networks nationally. These offer
similar speeds to EVDO, but has a potential upward limit of 14kbps.
