Radio Shack posts 2Q Loss, Cingular partly to Blame
|

|
| "RadioShack's wireless tactics did not sufficiently deliver results in
the face of changing competitive dynamics and maturing consumer demand,"
the company said. "To exploit its unique position in the marketplace of
wireless retailing, the company is evolving its approach in pricing,
promotion, merchandising and the selling process."
"Post-paid wireless handset unit sales in RadioShack <sic> core-stores
fell by a double-digit percentage."
Wow, some good buzz words in that first statement. Personally, I think
that the solution is to team across functional boundaries to create a
new paradigm.
