What bothers me is their falsely claiming that folks could still send
and receive text message, we have reports here on USENET of folks not
being able to.

What it means is that they now have zero credibility with me.

We only have their statements 2nd hand from newspaper reports. Still no
word online.

In fact if they now say they route all Long Distance calls through a
single point, likely it means they scan them for Homeland Security, and
you better never say "Jihad" in your conversation. We know AT&T scans
all landline long distance, makes sense Bush et al, would want cell
calls scanned also. Maybe in fact the Outage occurred as they switched
over to listening in.

As for the OUTAGE In my case the my Sony W600i would show 5 bars of
Signal, and the message "UNABLE TO FIND NETW", about the same as it did
in Copenhagen Denmark, where of course their is no Cingular Network.
