I've been trying to e-mail a picture to my phone, using
10-digit-number@mms.mycingular.com.

Sent from home (where I use one service provider for incoming e-mail but
another for outgoing mail because the DSL provider will only let outgoing
mail go through his own server), the messages never arrive.

Sent from work, with a perfectly consistent address, they arrive.

I can only suppose that Cingular is aggressively spam-filtering this address
(as they should be) and are rejecting everything where the From address
doesn't match the actual point of origin.

I don't think that's the reason, because my own From doesn't match my
sending domains, yet my MMS messages go through to my phone consistently
(as I just verified with 2 different service providers). So I'd guess
some other sort of filtering or problem. It might even be filtering by
your outgoing ISP.
