Hi all,

I recently switched over to Cingular and got a Motorola RAZR (not my
ideal phone which I knew going in, but I needed something quick and
relatively easy to unlock). I went through the unlocking procedure
from one of the online services that provide software to unlock your
phone through a USB connection to your PC.

Here is my question... I wanted to test that the unlocking worked, so
I borrowed my girlfriend's locked (supposedly) RAZR. First I took her
SIM card, stuck it my my phone and all is good, so I figured the unlock
worked. As another test, I took my SIM and put it in her locked RAZR.
Again it worked, which is not what I was expecting. Because it worked,
either:

1. Somehow her phone actually is unlocked (and then I know my unlock
worked as well)
2. Cingular phones are only locked for SIM cards that are not for
Cingular, but you are free to switch for any other Cingular SIM (in
which case I still don't know whether my unlock worked).

Thanks, any advice?

Regards,
Jason
