Author Can't replay to email->SMS messages

I've tried replying to SMS messages that came through both the
Mobile.MyCingular.com gateway (from: 36245) and the
CingularME.com gateway (from: 101-010-NNNN). Both replys get
sent OK (according to the phone), but neither ever shows up. So
far, I'd have to say that the Cingular e-mail/SMS gateways seem
a bit half-assed (replying to gatewayed messages always works
on my Verizon phone).

Is there a non-broken e-mail/SMS gateway for Cingular?

Works fine for me. Perhaps there's something wrong with your phone,
your account, or in your area.

I can send SMS messages fine (even to email addresses), so I
don't see how it could be something wrong with the phone.

I suppose it could be something wrong with my account -- is
there any point in calling customer service, or will they deny
any knowledge of the gateway?

I think it's worth doing that. Level 1 might be able to fix the problem
by reprovisioning your account and/or "pushing" settings to your phone.
If that doesn't help, then ask to be transferred to Technical Support,
who will know what you're talking about. I've had good experiences with
both groups.
