EDGE config for PEBL?

| I have a new (UK version) PEBL that is supposed to be EDGE capable. The
phone's browser is still slow as ever (as on my older RAZR). Is there
some special configuration I need to set up to use EDGE? (EDGE is
available on Cingular in NYC, right?)

If GPRS, then you get EDGE(EGPRS) automatically wherever it's available.
You may be in a poor signal area, or you may simply be seeing the
effects of relatively high latency.
