It's a bit pricey getting it straight from them. I bought off of the web
for $250 straight out. Sure, I don't get the warranty, but I also have
an unlocked, fully customizable V3i. And I do have the Cingular firmware
on it now that the phone is officially out, but I can change that
whenever I want.

I had the warranty on my v600, which I never used and was probably
voided after the first time I flashed the firmware on it anyways
hehehehe .... now the wife has that one and could not be happier. Still
a fine phone ......

I'm a bit confused about the two varieties of V3i, with iTunes and
without iTunes but with an MP3 player. If I have no interest in
downloading music except from my own PC what advantage does iTunes
offer over the regular MP3 player? Is iTunes better? Does it require
a special format?
