Has anyone tried to tether their Cingular 3125 phone to their computer
under the unlimited smartphone data plan? If so, can you get EDGE
speeds by tethering, or do you need to get the broadband pc card?
thanks.

| The 3125 is running Windows Mobile 5 so you should be able to "tether"
it like you can the Cingular 2125, try these instructions and yes this
works just fine over the MediaNet unlimited $20-month data plan.

| Also, I wanted to add that I have exchanged e-mails with the author of
that blog entry and he has being using the tethering method described
for over nine months now and has noticed nothing abnormal with his
bill. As always do at your own risk, but I have had a Cinuglar support
rep tell me that as long as you tether on WAP.CINGULAR they don't
audit... If you try to configure for the ISP.CINGULAR gateway you're
could be in for trouble, unless you want to pay for the PDA data
connect.
