cingular sucks, read inside how they are liers and cheats!

| OK, so I left cingular, the bastards they are.
I had a corporate sponsored account with AT&Tand was paying about
$15/month for a very limited package. I had two phones on two
different bills under them.
When they, cingular, took over AT&T they promised if anything, things
would be better! Yea right.
After about 9 years with them my phone went bad and they sent me a new
one. TDMA. Ok, so I used it about a year then the service started
sucking, dropped calls no service etc.
I called them when I got a notice the bill would be increased by
$5.00/month because it was an "older technology" phone. They also
said; "They were "phasing out" AT&T towers and equipment."
I asked why they sent me an older phone a year previous. They said it
was an AT&T account so I could not be transferred to cingular without
starting a new account without corporate discount!
OK, how much for your least expensive account, I asked. They said
$39/month!
OK, I'll ride you out till the service is unbearable or the phones
break.
Well the service was unbearable, the other phone on my second
corporate account was used by my wife and I couldn't take any more
complaints from her so I switched both phones to Nextel.
They, cingular, had the nerve to send a bill for one last phone call
on the account used by my wife.
BUT !!!!
The final straw was a bill from them today crediting me for $2.85 for
my phone account.
Yes crediting me!
They forgot to take out the corporate discount the previous month.
So I called them asking for a check.
I waited damn near 22 minutes to have them say that first I would have
to wait 60 days to apply for a check. Yes apply for a check on money
they owe me.
I said; "well if you charge me 1.5% interest on 20 day over due bills,
I expect you to pay me the same and I won't be calling again so you
better send me a check or I want to speak to a supervisor.
Finally they transferred me to a supervisor who flat out said they
would not send me anything.
I lost my cool and said "bullshit!" He said I can't use that language!
OK, I said; what your' re telling me is part of the reason I left
cingular and will tell everyone I see or that will listen that your
company is no good and your are a bunch of cheats.
So everyone, don't use cingular, don't even think of using them, If
you happen to have to talk with them, be sure and mention the $2.85
that the won't send to an X cingular customer.
I want the number $2.85 to become their plague and haunt them with
every call to customer service with them.
I want this to become a favored topic of SNOPES.com and if you hear or
see it again, it's true.
They cheated me out of $2.85, lied about the service with the AT&T
takeover and did tell me they were removing AT&T equipment tower by
tower and would not upgrade nor honor the commitment that AT&T made to
me.
Thank you for your time.

Boo friggin hoo.
I'm not sure I'd advise having cell phone service if you're gonna blow
a gasket over $2.85 of credit at the termination of an account.
Yes, it sucks and is frustrating when companies get bought out and
their new overlords screw up your service that you were happy with.
Leaving for Nextel should end up being an interesting story though.
If you thought Cingular was bad, I'm not sure your overall customer
satisfaction is likely to improe much.
Breathe. Let it go. $2.85 isn't worth the angst. You will not be
successful in a witch hunt over a long winded whiney story that
amounts to "someone bought the company, screwed things up, and they
cheated me out of 285 pennies" because most folks are looking at $150
cancellation fees to get out of contracts they're in. :-)
Hell, I feel like you owe me $2.85 for just reading your article,
honestly.
And liars is spelled with an a.
Sorry, I'm in a mood tonight... I normally try to be helpful and
compassionate.
Best Regards,
